Structural Repairs
This is a really broad area which includes such a wide range of repairs it's almost impossible to sum up.

Accidental knocks or falls, being left in a hot car, age, rough repairs and poor manufacturing can all be reasons an instrument finds itself needing this work.

Cracks, splits,  glue seam separations, broken peg heads, cracked heels and separated fingerboards. Lifting braces and bridges, changes in an instruments geometry as it ages and undoing previous modifications or poor repairs are just some of the types of work I have seen.

Fortunately, in this age of consumerism and planned obsolescence, musical instruments remain for the most part, items that we treasure and maintain instead of simply replacing when something goes wrong!
Don't forget, instruments get better with age!

Builds/ fitting parts
Building your own parts guitar is a great project for anyone.
Researching and selecting each component and watching your own model come together is fun!

To make sure your time and money is not wasted, I can assemble your parts or assist at certain stages of the build. Most aftermarket parts manufactures stay close to 'standards', however necks and bodies very rarely slip together beautifully, pickguards almost always need work around neck pocket etc. The fitting and aligning of necks and bridges so strings are centered over the neck and pickup poles is not always an easy job and drilling into thin brittle finishes can be stressful.

Upgrading your current guitar is also something that's made easy by the availability of high quality parts. Necks and bodies, tuners, tremolo systems, pickups and pickguards are readily available for you to spice up an old favourite. Not all of these parts are drop in replacements. I can take the worry out of the upgrading process by professionally fitting your new bits!
