Electronics

Guitar electronics is an area where some manufacturers cut corners. Unless you have spent some serious money on your instrument, don't expect to see any high quality electronic components a neatly run wiring harness or shiny solder joints inside. These shortcomings will usually lead to problems down the track.

Old, worn or corroded components can kill tone, add noise and even cut the output all together. Not something you need mid gig or jam!

Fortunately, upgrading your electronics is not overly expensive and the
improvement in sound, control over your tone and the reliability you can achieve is always worth it!

From cleaning/ replacement of noisy/ intermittent jack or controls, replacing pickups, shielding, complete rewiring to pickup rewinds, custom wiring/ switching modification, installing acoustic pickups and troubleshooting.

Acoustic Pickups

If you are a performing musician who is looking for an improved live tone with more control over your sound or simply electrifying an acoustic instrument, installing an acoustic guitar pickup system is probably the best investment you can make.

Over the years, I have gathered a lot of experience installing many different pickup models from manufactures like L.R. Baggs, Fishman, K&K, Shadow,  into guitars, ukuleles, mandolins, autoharps and banjos.

If you have been considering one, as they all have their strengths and limitations and to avoid disappointment, I'm happy to guide your decision based on your instrument, playing style and and performing environment.
